Positions/Eligibility Criteria of Ministry of Energy Petroleum Division Jobs 2025
- Senior Legal Advisor – One Position
Qualification: Minimum 16 years qualification or equivalent in Law from any HEC recognized institute/university/college. Foreign qualification in Petroleum Laws, Policy and Contracts will be preferred.
Experience: A strong professional background with a minimum of 15 years post qualification relevant experience in the upstream petroleum sector, with a law firm and/or a major industrial group or in any Government/corporate/autonomous/semi-autonomous bodies in the upstream petroleum sector.
Strong grip of Legal Framework in Pakistan in Upstream Petroleum Sector, especially post 18th Amendment in the Constitution and latest amendments in Petroleum Rules/Policies, including several new policies introduced recently.
Experience in successfully contesting before International Arbitration Courts/Tribunals etc. will be a plus. Candidates should have valid License to plead cases on behalf of Petroleum Division in High Courts of Pakistan.
Monthly Lump Sum Remuneration: Rs.1, 200,000/- to 1,500,000/-
Max age: 60 years
- Legal Advisor – One Position
Qualification: Minimum 16 years qualification or equivalent in Law from any HEC recognized institute/university/college. Foreign qualification in Petroleum Laws, Policy and Contracts will be preferred.
Experience: A strong professional background with a minimum of 10 years post qualification relevant experience in the upstream petroleum sector, with a law firm and/or a major industrial group or in any Government/corporate/autonomous/semi-autonomous bodies in the upstream petroleum sector. Understanding of Legal Framework in Pakistan in Upstream Petroleum Sector, especially post 18th Amendment in the Constitution and latest amendments in Petroleum Rules/Policies, including several new policies introduced recently.

- Junior Legal Advisor – Two Positions

Experience: A strong professional background with a minimum of 07 years post qualification relevant experience in the upstream petroleum sector, with a law firm and/or a major industrial group or in any Government/corporate/autonomous/semi-autonomous bodies in the upstream petroleum sector.
Understanding of Legal Framework in Pakistan in Upstream Petroleum Sector, especially post 18th Amendment in the Constitution and latest amendments in Petroleum Rules/Policies, including several new policies introduced recently.

Qualification: 16 years qualification in any of the disciplines i.e. Petroleum / Chemical / Mechanical from any HEC recognized institute/university, preferably having advance degree in the relevant field. Membership of Pakistan Engineering Council.
Experience: 07 years post qualification relevant experience in the upstream oil and gas sector.
Monthly Salary: Rs.600,000/-
Max age: 45 years
- Expert Production – One Position
Qualification: 16 years qualification in any of the disciplines i.e. Petroleum / Chemical / Mechanical from any HEC recognized institute/university, preferably having advance degree in the relevant field. Membership of Pakistan Engineering Council.
Experience: 05 years post qualification relevant experience in the upstream oil and gas sector.
Monthly Salary: Rs.400,000/-
Max age: 40 years
- Expert Concessions – Two Positions
Qualification: 16 years qualification in Geophysics / Geology or in any of the disciplines i.e. Petroleum / Chemical / Mechanical from any HEC recognized institute/university, preferably having advance degree in the relevant field.
Experience: 05 years post qualification relevant experience in the upstream oil and gas sector.
Monthly Salary: Rs.400,000/-

- Senior Expert Exploration – One Position
Qualification: 16 years qualification in Geology from any HEC recognized institute/university, preferably having advance degree in the relevant field.
Experience: 07 years post qualification relevant experience in the upstream oil and gas sector.
Monthly Salary: Rs.600,000/-
Max age: 45 years
- Expert Exploration – One Position
Qualification: 16 years qualification in Geology from any HEC recognized institute/university, preferably having advance degree in the relevant field.
Experience: 05 years post qualification relevant experience in the upstream oil and gas sector.

- Finance & Accounts Specialist – One Position
Qualification: 16 years qualification in Commerce/Accounting/Finance from any HEC recognized institute/university, preferably having advance degree in the relevant field.
Experience: 05 years post qualification relevant experience in the upstream oil and gas sector.
Monthly Salary: Rs.400,000/-
Max age: 40 years
- Petroleum Economist – One Position
Qualification: 16 years qualification in Economics / Commerce / Accounting/Finance from any HEC recognized institute/university, preferably having advance degree in the relevant field.
Experience: 07-10 years post qualification relevant experience in the upstream oil and gas sector.
Monthly Salary: Rs.600,000/-
Max age: 45 years
- Talent & HRM Assistant – One Position
Qualification: 16 years qualification in Business Administration from any HEC recognized institute/university, preferably having advance degree in the relevant field.
Experience: Minimum 01-02 years post qualification relevant experience, preferably in energy sector.
Monthly Salary: Rs.300,000/-
Max age: 35 years
