Instruction About GEPCO Jobs 2024

Before completing the appropriate application form found on the National Testing Service (NTS) website, applicants are encouraged to carefully read the following instructions: https://www.nts.org.pk.

GEPCO personnel who have two years of regular or contract employment, meet the requirements for direct induction, and meet the necessary qualifications are eligible for an in-house induction quota. However, only Senior 01 is eligible to take the induction exam for the position of Junior Engineer (Electrical/SDO).

The age listed against each category already includes general age relaxation. The following exceptions to the age restriction apply: a. Candidates from scheduled castes and Buddhists are granted a three-year relaxation.
b. For impaired people, the upper age limit can be lowered to a maximum of ten years.

Employees of the government, WAPDA, or DISCO who have served continuously for two years as of the application deadline may apply; the maximum age is 43 years old for BPS-17 (Sr. 1 & 2) positions.
b. 40 years for the positions of Senior 3, 4 and 5 Commercial Assistant, Line Superintendent (Grade-1), and Line Superintendent (Grade-II).

The GEPCO Employment Policy will be followed, and all quotas (where appropriate) will be met.

Candidates may apply from anywhere in Pakistan for Senior 1 and Senior 2.

Candidates must be residents of Gujranwala, Hafizabad, Gujrat, Mandi Bahauddin, Sialkot, Narowal, and Wazirabad districts (Sr. 3, 4, & 5) in order to be considered for the positions of Commercial Assistant, Line Superintendent (Grade-1), and Line Superintendent (Grade-II).

The position of Junior Engineer (Electrical/SDO) at Senior 01 is not open to candidates without PEC registration.

Only eligible and qualified applicants will be permitted to take the written exam. Interview invitations will only be extended to shortlisted applicants who meet the requirements of the relevant GEPCO Employment Policy.

Candidates will be hired or appointed under a contract that includes a lump sum payment package for a minimum of three years, with the possibility of extension based on successful performance. There will be no further regularization of these contractual appointees’ employment.

Before applying, candidates having result cards or transcripts mentioning CGPA evaluation must get their respective institutions’ or universities’ HEC-recognized result cards or transcripts with percentage marks.

A further benefit for the candidates will be their familiarity with computers, particularly Microsoft Office, Excel, Windows, the Internet, and email.

Candidates who are currently employed by the government are encouraged to apply via the appropriate route. Candidates must present a departmental No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of the interview, on which the date of appointment and the type of work (contract, regular, etc.) must be explicitly stated.

Candidates, if selected, will be required to perform duties within the jurisdiction of GEPCO.

No TA/DA will be admissible to candidates for the test/interview.

The NADRA CNIC for Disabled Persons and the Disability Certificate from the Assessment Board for Disabled Persons must be attached by candidates applying against the Disabled Quota. Depending on their suitability, such individuals will be given consideration for appointments. When applying online, they must specify the type of disability they have so that the necessary steps and assessments can be scheduled. Additionally, the relevant board must have deemed them “Fit to Work.”

Only those who have fulfilled the necessary requirements may submit an application. Candidates will not be taken into consideration if they do not have their final transcript, degree, proof of residence, or other certifications by the application deadline.

Applications that are incomplete, contain inaccurate information, or are submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

GEPCO and M/S National Testing Service (NTS) shall not be obligated to accept applications submitted late via courier service.

At the time of the interview or joining of service, the candidate must produce the original documents and one set of authenticated photocopies.

People with a criminal past or those who have been fired or screened out of any organisation are not allowed to work for GEPCO. Candidates must have their backgrounds and character cleared by the police or agency.

Any legal action over M/S NTS’s recruitment exams will be handled by M/S NTS on its own.

a. Rs. 540/- for Junior Engineer (Electrical/SDO) & Assistant Manager (CS)/Revenue Officer (RO).
b. Rs. 400/- for Commercial Assistant, Line Superintendent (Grade-1), & Line Superintendent (Grade-II).
c. Candidates pay 50% of the fee, and 50% is borne by GEPCO. Fees payable:
– Rs. 270/- for Junior Engineer & Assistant Manager posts.
– Rs. 200/- for Commercial Assistant & Line Superintendent posts.

Disabled candidates are exempt from test fees; GEPCO will cover 100% of the fee.

Test fees must be paid through 1 Link 1Bill participating banks/ATMs/Internet banking/mobile banking/Easypaisa/Jazz Cash/TCS Express Counters.

Roll No Slip information will be uploaded on the NTS website one week before the test date. Candidates will be informed via email/SMS.
