The University of Sindh invites applications for the award of M.Phil. and PhD scholarships from candidates having domicile of Sindh province (the domicile of Thatta / Sujawal will be given preference). These scholarships are part of two marine research projects awarded by the marine Marine Development Committee Thatta and PMDC Sujawal to the University of Sindh under the projects given below.

“Establishment of Oceanographic Survey Unit: Climate Change, Freshwater Scarcity and Pollution impact Assessment on Geomorphology, Mangroves, Fisheries and Wildlife Occurring in Coastal and Water of District Thatta”

“Establishment of Marine Research Laboratory and Survey Unit: Population Dynamics, Pollution Impact Assessments, and Way-forward of Coastal and Marine Biodiversity in Creeks of Sujawal Sindh Pakistan.

Eligibility Criteria:

BS IV-year/M.Sc. second class (45%) in Biology/Biotechnology/Botany / Chemistry/ Environmental Science / Freshwater Biology and Fisheries / Marine Biology / Microbiology/Geology Geography / Zoology / Physics for doing M.Phil.

You must be registered / enrolled in M.Phil or PhD. in disciplines of Biology / Biotechnology/ Botany/Chemistry / Environmental Science / Freshwater Biology and Fisheries / Marine Biology / Marine Science / Microbiology / Geology / Geography / Zoology for doing M.Phil/Ph.D. in HEC recognized Universities.

The candidate for M.Phil./Ph.D. will conduct research in marine biology of coastal areas of Thatta and Sujawal districts only.
